KAYLA ADAMSON
INTERIOR & SPATIAL DESIGN
ABOUT
I am about to graduate with a Bachelor of Design (Honours) in Interior and Environmental Design, having spent four years studying at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design at the University of Dundee.
As we spend the majority of our time indoors, interior design shapes the way we live, influencing daily experiences. I am driven by the potential to reimagine existing environments through thoughtful intervention and am drawn to the endless possibilities of what a space can become. As a designer, I am particularly interested in responding to both people and context, balancing contemporary needs with respect for a space's existing character.
In 2024, I won The Guardbridge Paper Company Prize as the best Interior and Environmental Design student in my year at DJCAD. My work has been exhibited at the V&A Dundee, as well as at the GIDE Exhibition in Valencia. My project 'The Assembly' has been featured in Dezeen design magazine. Additionally, I have been nominated for National Interior Educators Awards in both the 'Collaborative Practice' and 'Interior Futures' categories. I have completed work placement and internship opportunities with Reiach and Hall Architects in 2023 and MLA in both 2021 and 2025.
